I chose veterinary medicine because I have a passion for knowing how things work in a pet's body in order to be able to help them feel better. Animals can’t tell us something is wrong so I wanted to be their advocate. I went to GPRC for the Animal Health Technology course and graduated in 2016. My favourite area of veterinary medicine is by far nutrition. There are so many ways to help pets just by feeding a more specific diet. Pets have to eat, why not treat them with their food?
What I love about my job is the relationship I am able to build with owners and their pets. Helping owners maintain the human-animal bond they have is one of my favourite things. A fun fact about me is that I really enjoy arts and crafts and do a lot of fiber crafts. I even spin pet hair into yarn.
