Dr. Sarah Pihowich graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science, Major in Applied Animal Biology. In December 2020, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Melbourne.
Dr. Pihowich always knew she wanted to work with animals, but it wasn't until she worked as a summer intern at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton (now WildNorth) that she knew veterinary medicine was the career path for her. She loved the variety of seeing something new every day and the challenge of diagnosing patients who couldn't tell you what was wrong with them. She is most interested in surgery and exotics/wildlife, especially birds!
Dr. Pihowich enjoys being a part of the Central AH team because she gets to learn new things every day and is surrounded by such a supportive team.
