Here at Central Animal Hospital, we are fully equipped and authorized to provide a range of orthopedic rehabilitation and surgical services for our patients. Injuries, chronic conditions or birth defects can cause your pet to have several kinds of issues related to their joints, bones and muscles. With proper medical care, we can ensure that they live comfortably and actively despite their diagnoses. Schedule an appointment with our team today to learn more about our orthopedic services. Simply call us at 250-376-7208 to get started.

What types of orthopedic services do you offer?

Our team performs a wide range of orthopedic procedures ranging from ligament or tendon repair to bone plating for fractured limbs using our specialized equipment.

How much do pet orthopedic procedures cost?

Without an in-hospital appointment, it is almost impossible to provide an accurate estimate. Factors such as your pet’s weight and size, the actual procedure and the specific health condition they have will all affect the total cost of treatment. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our team and schedule a consultation so we can provide you with our current service rates.

What kinds of orthopedic problems do pets usually have?

It depends on your pet’s breed and species. With dogs for example, hip dysplasia, disc problems (in their neck or back) and torn ligaments are some of the most common issues seen by veterinary teams like ours. For cats, degenerative joint disease, tendon contractures, fractures and hip dysplasia are common occurrences. Lifestyle also plays a huge factor. Pets who compete in sports or who have active roles in farms/hunting experience more wear and tear versus indoor pets.
